When I first saw Jake at Echo Music about 3~4 years ago, he was a really passionate student of the musical arts. Not only did was he learning vocals, at the same time, he was also learning the piano, and simultaneously understanding the concepts of music production. At a young age of 16, he was already full force into the local music scene.
He went on to perform at many events, some for charitable causes, some to represent the school, with a burning passion for music in his heart. At the same time, he was helping out our music director, Simon, with various recording projects, learning the ropes of the music production industry. He was also our keyboard accompanist for several school performances at cafes such as White Tangerine Cafe, etc.
All these experiences, all these years of diligence, discipline, and hard work, unleashed themselves in full force over at our local Singapore Poly’s SP Star singing competition.
With a overwhelming amount of cheers and claps, he walked away victorious and emerge the champion.
As his alma mater in the musical arts, we’re proud to see him today as a polished diamond, a role model for many other students in Echomusic School inspiring to be the next upcoming star.
All the best with your future career in music Jake!
