Oasis, one of the most famous bands that headlined the Britpop era in the 90s officially disbanded on 28 August 2009. The Gallagher brothers simply could no longer co-exist within the same space. Noel had chosen the solo path whereas Liam went to form another band “Beady Eye” with the rest of the ex-Oasis members.

“Death of you and me” is Noel’s first single and it has garnered more than 1 million views on Youtube. Does the tune sound very Oasis-y? No surprise there since Noel was the principal songwriter for Oasis.

So which half of the brothers do you think will rise out of the ashes of Oasis and emerge as the crowd’s and critics’ favourite?

Olivia Ong is well known for her pretty voice. This time, she comes back strong with her refreshing rendition of the new songs in her latest album.

Time for some massive updates on Echo Music’s July 2011 Open Mic last Saturday. It’s really comforting to see so many our students participating this month, especially our new students! All our students who performed that night sang really well despite some being their first time up on stage. Round of applause please!!! =) !!

As you all know, singing a duet isnt all that easy. It takes practice and great chemistry between you and your partner to bring out the meaning of the song. Hence, not easy. But I must say it is definitely a good way to improve your harmonizing skills.. oh you know to be able to harmonize songs like Jason Mraz and Colbie Caliat’s Lucky or Lady Antebellum’s Just a Kiss or I need you now??

Remember the part where Grace (acted by Selena Gomez) was listening to the radio at the beginning of the movie Monte Carlo?

Well, that was sang by The Fine Frenzy – Blow Away.

Sudol, age 24, is the leader of A Fine Frenzy, which she introduced to the world with the 2007 album ONE CELL IN THE SEA. The project established her as one of the most talented young singers and songwriters around. They came our with another album called BOMB IN A BIRDCAGE. One unique band that is! Hope you love their county rock ballad music like we do!

Awesome band!! PARAMORE! Who doesnt know them? After twilight soundtrack – Decode, they’re back for more surprises.. this time they’re recording for TRANSFORMERS! love them both! Check their soundtrack – MONSTER!

It’s the time of the month once again. That’s right! S’PORE ART SALON 7TH EDITION was held at Echoloft. This time more entertainment, more fun, more music, more Art! After the appearance on mypaper, Spore Art Salon and Echo Music seem to get a little more famous we must say! More Art enthusiasts participated in this private event yesterday. Yet another success!

Check out the host of the night, Eugene! We must give it to him for being the most artistic person of the night! Those pink flowers and wig, which he made them himself by the way, areso adorable and beautiful. Now, That’s art! On top of that, probably to go green, he used recycled materials such as trash bags and newspaper to make his outfit! Is he starting a new trend?? Hmmm..

Yup, this artist drew a picture of Edmund with a cap. NICE PANTS?? ermm.. not sure what was going on..

You might think he’s sleeping but no.. artists and the audience were drawing this serene picture of him.

Look how engrossed they are in their work and it turned our really beautiful. We wished we had their creativity and talent! Scrapbook.. draw draw draw… Ooo~

More poets in the house!! Isn’t she lovely. Hard to find poets in Singapore today!

Aw… Ryan, one of the organiser for this event, complimenting on how beautiful her artwork was! Her outfit and hair really resembles Paramore.. maybe they are sisters.. just saying.. the world is small right? Anything can happen!

Everyone deserves a round of applause for making this event a success!! Let’s look forward to SPORE ART SALON 8TH EDITION!

Edmund Lee, Echo Music School’s Marketing Executive, performed with his fellow friend, Fauzie who’s on guitar, during April’s Singapore Art’s Salon Event. This event is jointly organised by Echoloft (Music Cafe of Echo Music School) & Singapore Art Salon Team. It is a monthly event where people from all walks of life who appreciate art come together to share their beliefs and experiences. These include poets, musicians, artists, dancers, theatrical actors and models. This is definitely a big honour for us to be able to part of Singapore’s Art & Music Scene.

We look forward to seeing you guys at this month’s meet up on the 27th June 2011 to share our love for the ART =)
